Online classes can make college convenient in today’s busy society. Online classes allow many students to continue their education without interrupting their work schedules. Traditional classes make college life easier. When a student is fresh out of high school, the student can transition easier with traditional classes. Face to face classes are important for social growth, interpersonal skill building, and can make meeting new people easier. There are many strengths and weaknesses to both online and traditional classes. While they are both credible ways to earn a degree; they are also very different in their class settings.

With online classes, students have the option to pick the times they “attend” class. When it comes to traditional classes, students must follow the schedule provided to them. Attendance can be a strict rule with traditional classes. With online classes, students can study on their own time and sometimes there are no deadlines. Traditional classrooms give students the responsibility of showing up at a regular date and time. Some students do well with this form of class, where if they were in an online class they may not be responsible enough to take the tests, hand in assignments, or participate in online discussion if there is not a specific "date".
In traditional classes students are able to answer questions provided by professors and classmates right away. While in online classes, questions are posted in discussion boards or sent through email where other students or the professor can answer. Questions are not always answered immediately. In fact, there are almost always delays before a response is made, whether it is an hour or a day. Personal interaction, such as in a traditional setting, can help some students understand the material better, where as in a discussion, the written dialogue can be easily misunderstood.

Traditional classrooms give students easier access to the professor. Online classes can be frustrating if the professor is not prompt with replies to the student’s questions. On the other hand, there are students who are more vocal and involved in the discussion because it is online and they feel more comfortable stating their opinion than they normally would if it was face to face.

"It goes on." When the going gets tough, make yourself realize that no matter what your problem is, someone is and always will be fighting a harder battle.

Tears don't help problems and whining won't make things better. Have faith but understand that faith makes things possible, not easier. Have hope but understand without doing anything nothing gets done.

Be there when people need you, because in order to have friends you must first be one. Make the impossible, possible. Never give up! You only fail when you fail to try. Keep an open mind; you never know what you may learn.

Never compromise your standards for anyone, do it for you. Remember that laughter makes the world go round.



Beware of the person who has nothing to lose, see through the problem to find the solution. Don't make promises that you can't keep. Keep in mind, those who gossip to you will gossip about you. Say only what you mean, and don't believe everything that you hear because some day the story will be about you.

Everyday is a gift, even if it sucks. Count your blessings, not your troubles. Never waste an opportunity to tell someone that you love them, because you never know what tomorrow has in store for you. Give people a second chance, because no one is perfect. Love all that you can, give all that you have, smile away your days, and dream away your nights.

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.

Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.

Strength of will is forged by squarely facing the tasks that need to be completed now.

A Poem from my hubby

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

Why Women Cry

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will." Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said:

"When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."
